One thing I hate is cranberry juice. It’s concentrated, super sweet, and way too pungent. Well, I should say that I hate bottled cranberry juice, because this homemade cranberry juice is just too good! It’s awesome because you know what’s going in the juice, no artificial colors, no artificial sweeteners, and it just tastes better. Plus, it’s a great way to use up extra cranberry, you can make it with any amount of them!
Recipe: (Makes 2 quarts)
1 lb fresh cranberries
2 quarts water
3 cups sugar or other sweetener
Stick the cranberries, water, and sweetener in a large pot
Bring to a boil and heat until all cranberries pop (about 10 minutes)
After the cranberries all pop, take the pot off the heat and let it cool for about 20 minutes (you can adjust sugar now if you need to add more)
Once it cools, bring a pitcher that you’ll store the juice in
Take a fine mesh strainer and strain the juice
You wanna get all the gunk strained out and make it a clear juice!
Chill for a few hours and ENJOY!
